Our approach

We aim to provide a website that works with common assistive technologies and supports different ways of navigating, reading and interacting. We test content, forms, media and new features as part of the build and improvement process.

What we are doing

  • Providing clear navigation, heading structure and descriptive link text.
  • Maintaining legible text, usable contrast and responsive layouts.
  • Supporting keyboard navigation and visible focus states.
  • Providing alternative text for meaningful images and transcripts or captions for audiovisual content.
  • Giving users a reduced-motion option where animation is used.
  • Reviewing forms, validation messages and error states for clarity and accessibility.
